Farcanal Morris men are based in Yapton/Barnham West Sussex.
We are a traditional "Cotswold" dance side but have been known to dance Horsham and intend to start up a few of our own inimitable dances.
We have been associated with Fishbourne Mill Morris for some years now and have become a mixed side dancing in the Chichester area.
We have also called ourselves the REGNI
Wheelbarrow Morris in honour of the local Romano-British tribe, specifically when we dance out with the St.Pancras Wheelbarrow Club. (Which is argueably the oldest club in England )
A past Mayor of St.Pancras Mervin Cutten, Landlord of the Murrell Arms, Barnham, provided the name. He assured us that he knew all the Regni Tribe personally as he lived around here a long time.
Sadly he died recently so RIP Merve, the Murrel just isnt the same
